How does that compare with scaffolding or a cherry picker?

To look at a roof without a drone, someone has to get up there. For a two-storey house that usually means scaffolding, often around £350 to £1,200 just for chimney access, or a truck-mounted cherry picker with an operator at roughly £350 to £650 a day plus delivery. Both take days to arrange. Across the UK, drone roof surveys typically cost £150 to £350, so our £75 to £200 prices sit at the lower end. Read our guide to drone vs scaffolding vs ladder inspections for typical UK prices.

Why we do not offer a "free roof inspection"

Free inspections are usually offered by companies who make their money from the repair. We only inspect, so our job is to show you what is there, not to find work. If the roof is fine, we will tell you.

Questions about price

How much does a drone roof inspection cost in Plymouth?

A targeted check of one area (such as a chimney or gulley) is £75. A full visual inspection of every accessible slope, chimney, valley and gutter with photos and 4K video is £150. Add an annotated PDF report for £200. We confirm the scope and price before we visit.

What if it is windy or raining on the day?

Drones are weather-limited, so we only fly when it is safe and the images will be useful. If wind or rain rules out a flight, we move your inspection to the next suitable slot at no extra cost.

Are there any extra charges for travel?

Inspections in Plymouth are covered by the fixed price. For towns further out we will tell you about any travel charge before you book, so the price you agree is the price you pay. to confirm: travel charge policy

Which inspection should I choose?

If you know where the problem is, such as one chimney or a leak above one room, the £75 targeted check is usually enough. If you want the whole roof checked, choose the £150 full inspection. Choose the £200 report when you need to send written evidence to a roofer, insurer, seller or tenant.

How do I pay?

We confirm the scope and price with you first, then you pay after the inspection. to confirm: payment methods and timing
